Advice:
My advice to young people is to worry less and be bold. Life gets dull when worry is all you see. Don't confine yourself to a boring lifestyle, do what brings you joy, do things you're passionate about. Live frivolously.
Remember to be kind and thoughtful of other's struggles, as one of my favorite quotes has taught me.

Mr. Cosgrove’s Social Studies Awards Student of the Year – This is the 24th year Mr. Cosgrove has selected a student of the year. The students of the year for the 2023-2024 school year includes 6th grade student Reagan Morgan and 7th grade student Trevor Mayle. While Mr. Cosgrove tries to narrow the selection to one student, these two students met all the requirements within the respective grade levels Mr. Cosgrove teaches. The criteria include superior academic performance; outstanding behavior, conduct, demonstrated courtesy and respect towards students and staff; excellent attendance; and being attentive in class. A top student carries personal qualities that enhance their academic performance and prepare them for the challenges ahead—Reagan and Trevor have these qualities. Other awards were presented to the STEM program and activities conducted in Mr. Cosgrove’s class during the school year. The top two students in the wind turbine project include Ellie Hall and Brooke Tingler. These students generated the most volts with their design and were able to code the corresponding micro:bits. They also helped other students with the coding. Both students excelled in all STEM projects and are the STEM Students of the Year. Four forensic lab leaders were awarded medals for their leadership skills during the blood splatter and analysis project, they include: Makenna Cunningham, Makenzie Justice, Natalie Miller, and Kaylee Sampson. Other students to be commended in the wind turbine project includes: Mackenzie Bevel, Makenzie Justice, Mason Laughlin, Natalie Miller, Haley Nicholas, Payton Quick, Kaylee Sampson, Kylee Stewart and Eliana White. Mr. Cosgrove would like to thank and commend his 7th grade class. Every student that started and ended the school year in his class did outstanding work and had excellent behavior—a truly remarkable group of students. He would also like to thank his 6th grade classes for their hard work, where the vast majority of students were amazing.
Good evening, Bus 29 will be picking up Bus 23 students tomorrow, Friday, May 10th.
