In partnership with the Northern WV Rural Health Education Center we will be offering an unique opportunity to students in 11th and 12th grade to participate in the Moving Upward and Onward Preparedness Workshop! In its 13th year, the MOU program is a great opportunity for juniors and seniors from Calhoun County Middle/High School to explore health careers through a unique partnership with Minnie Hamilton Health Systems (MHHS).
MOU is designed to provide meaningful opportunities to explore your interests in health careers through clinical shadowing at MHHS, regular meetings, virtual job shadow exploration, independent projects, group discussions, a field trip to West Virginia University, and more. You will experience a variety of job skills through hands-on learning and explore the educational and training requirements to work in your chosen field.
To better prepare you for this opportunity CMHS Student Services will be providing 6 workshop classes during AA time. During the workshop you will learn public speaking skills, written communication skills, job interview skills, and other professional soft skills. To sign up for the classes, please see Ms. Sampson.
